I have developed my editing and proofreading services to help you make your document the best it can possibly be. I have written this privacy statement in order for you to understand what information I will collect and why I will collect it.

I take your privacy very seriously. I will never ask for more information than what I need to do my job, and I will never pass whatever information I do need to a third party. I will keep confidential whatever information and material(s) you give me.

As part of the submission process, you will provide me with certain information relevant to your project, as well as any relevant files. The information you provide will be kept in a log on the domain server for security and analysis purposes only. The files you send me will be temporarily located on the domain server. Both the log and the files will be located in an area to which only I will have access. Once I have successfully received your files from the domain server, I will delete them from the domain server.

No one other than me will work on your project, without your express written consent. After I finish your project, I will keep the files associated with your project for reference purposes only. I will keep these files on my personal computer and personal back-up devices only, including a password-protected server, to which only I have access. I will treat all of these files as highly confidential. In other words, I will never disclose these files to anyone without your express written authorization, unless forced to do so by a court order.

If you are concerned there might be information in your documents or files which you would not like for me to see, please feel free to remove that information before sending them to me. This should not affect my editing and proofreading abilities. This may be done by replacing said text with the use of a common letter (e.g. "XXXX"). In this way I will know where something (such as your name or telephone number) has been omitted. Whatever method you choose, I request that you indicate that certain information in your document has been omitted, as well as where it has been omitted, so that you will be able to seamlessly re-introduce the omitted information upon completion of my editing and proofreading services.

I accept payment via PayPal® (www.paypal.com) only. Because I use PayPal® for the processing of all deposits and payments, I will never see, nor ask for, any of your private financial information. All of these transactions will be handled directly between you, PayPal and your bank. Any concern regarding potential fraud or other misuse of your private financial information should therefore be directed directly to PayPal® or to your bank as I do not, nor will I ever, have access to any of your private financial information.
